MEET THE FACULTY

June West
Associate Professor of Business Administration

Professor West is an expert in organizational communication. She serves as a University faculty liaison to the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA, and is an adjunct faculty member at the Federal Executive Institute. West also directs a Darden faculty team that teaches in the summer orientation program for the Secretary of Defense Corporate Fellows program that places active-duty military officers in corporations for a one-year fellowship. As a communication consultant, West has worked with executives in a variety of organizations, universities and public school districts.

 

 

Steve Soltis
Adjunct Lecturer

 

Soltis is a senior advisor with MAS Leadership Communication, a company he formed in 2017 with partners Ken Askew and Charles McNair. He has recently joined the Darden team as an executive-in-residence, teaching management and leadership communication. Soltis retired from The Coca-Cola Company, where he led both executive and internal communication for 11 years. In that role, he served as the lead communication strategist for Chairman and CEO Muhtar Kent, and was responsible for all of his executive speeches, town halls, videos, press briefings, correspondence and external and internal appearances.


BUILD YOUR CREDENTIALS

Your participation in each masterclass will help you build new insights around current and emerging issues, to help expand your leadership capabilities and enable you to tackle challenges with a fresh perspective. By combining sessions with Executive Education open programs, participants can earn a Darden Certificate in Management. Each session counts as half a credit toward a certificate. Participants qualify for a certificate by completing four credits within a four-year period.
